Age 90, born January 21, 1922 in Middleton, Tennessee. Passed away peacefully at home having known the Lord and his Savior surrounded by his loving family on Friday, September 7, 2012. Bill is a WWII Navy Veteran and retired from GM in 1983 after 30 years. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Virginia May Gill; parents, William Benton Hicks and Ola Belle Cox; brothers, Leonard, Buford “Gene”, John Thomas “JT”, Alfred and Billy Ray; sisters, Mary Lou and Ruby.
He is survived by 5 daughters, Pat (Mack) Barr, Mary (Steve) Zollinger, Peggy (Stan) Rowlett, Kathleen Hicks and Sandra (LeRoy) Rolston; 3 sons, Paul (Teresa) Hicks, Elmer (Freida) Hicks, William (Debra) Hicks; 1 step-son, Dennis Moore; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Creamer.
