Albert D. Wilbur

Passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the age of 89. Albert was born July 7, 1922 in Ojibwa, Wisconsin to Charles Wilbur and Donna "Latham" Wilbur. Albert moved to Eaton Rapids at the age of 8 and lived there the remainder of his life. Albert was introduced to his wife Betty "Higgins" Wilbur while in Eaton Rapids, they married on October 26, 1946 and remained married until her passing in 1999. He worked for Miller's Dairy, Eaton Stamping, and Oldsmobile where he retired. Albert was an avid gardener and loved to walk and exercise. He was a member of the VFW and Eagles. Albert is preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Surviving Albert are his daughters Stephanie (Dick) Wilbur-Wright, and Susie (Edward) Politza.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids, family will receive Friends at the funeral home at 12:00 PM and burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery. Officiating will be Lay Ecclesial Minister Teresa Hurd. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the Capital Area Humane Society in memory of Albert.
