Allen Ray McGinnis SR. Obituary (1957 - 2020)

Allen Ray McGinnis Sr. Lansing Passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at the age of 62. Born September 12, 1957 to Arlen and Juanita (Moody) McGinnis Sr. in Newbury, West Virginia. Allen was a graduate of Harry Hill High School in Lansing. He went on to work as a contract laborer for many apartment properties in the Lansing area including H & H Property, Gene Turnwald and Kruger Incorporated. Allen was a jack-of-all-trades who enjoyed painting and doing yardwork. He liked being outside and riding his motorcycle. Allen was a jokester and he found the humor in anything. Most of all he was family man and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. Allen will be dearly missed by all who remember him. Preceding him in death were his father, Arlen McGinnis, brother, Stanley McGinnis and his son, Robert McGinnis. Surviving are his wife, Cheryl McGinnis; their children, Tonya (Brad) Abbott, Allen (Alyshia) McGinnis Jr., Dwain McGinnis, Joseph McGinnis, Patricia (Fred) Church, Sarah McGinnis; 18 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; mother, Juanita (Everett) McGinnis; brothers, Arlen (Ruth) McGinnis Jr., Steve McGinnis, Brian McGinnis, Mark McGinnis; sister, LeNora (Dan) Dibble as well as many nieces and nephews and his dog, Cocoa.
