Chad James VanAlstinePottervillePassed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at the age of 50. Born April 24, 1972 to James and Deborah (Clark) VanAlstine in Lansing, Michigan. Chad worked as a service technician in commercial refrigeration for Hager Fox before going to work for DL Walker where he retired. Following his retirement, he had started doing woodworking as a hobby but working on cars was always his favorite. He loved to work with his hands and rebuilding vehicles. Most of all, Chad was a family man and loved every opportunity he was able to spend with them. He especially loved his grandson and enjoyed spoiling him with every chance he had. Chad was loved by many and will be missed dearly by all who remember him. Preceding him in death were his parents. Surviving him are his wife of 25 years, Nicole VanAlstine; children, Chad James VanAlstine II, Allison VanAlstine, Dylan VanAlstine; grandson, Cassius VanAlstine; sisters, Angie (Tim) Chamber, Heather (James) Sharp as well as many extended family and friends.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Skinner Funeral Home Lansing Chapel.
