Dale R. Powell Obituary (1950 - 2012)

Age 61, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012 following a brief battle with cancer. Born August 6, 1950 to Ransom and Esther (Arrowood) Powell in Manistique, Michigan. Dale retired from General Motors/ Oldsmobile Division in Lansing and had also served in the Army National Guard. Preceding him in death were his parents and siblings. Surviving are his wife Lois; 3 children, Terri (Randi) Hayes of Olivet, Bill Powell of Springport and Jeff Powell of Charlotte; 2 grandchildren; 2 brothers and a sister; as well as several nieces & nephews. Dale's request was for an immediate cremation with no formal service. A private family committal will take place this summer up north. The family was served by the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids.
