Dallas A. Mohler

Age 84 died, Friday, December 23, 2011 at his residence following a terminal illness. Born July 16, 1927 in Branch, Michigan; one of 11 children born to Frank and Lottie May (Schafer) Mohler. Dallas served in the Army with the Corp of Engineers during World War II. He retired from General Motors in Lansing as a Skilled Tradesman. After retirement Dallas enjoyed traveling, hunting, dabbling in farming and tinkering in his work shop. Preceding him in death was a daughter, Janet Burger in 1989; brothers & sisters, Flora, Howard, Pearl, Freda, Walt, Irene and Dale.
Surviving are his 2 sons, Jerry (Nanette) Mohler of Moscow Mills, Missouri and Ronald Mohler of Parma; 7 grandchildren including Matthew (Sheila) Burger, Misty Calhoun and Mike Mohler; 11 great grandchildren; Companion, Mary Prater; twin brother, Doug Mohler of Eaton Rapids and brother, Virgil (Marilyn) Mohler of Kalkaska; sister, Pauline Darling of Albion and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery near Branch, Michigan. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
