Eloiza Colón Obituary (1947 - 2014)

Eloiza Colon Lansing, MI Passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at age 67. Born January 30, 1947 to Alberto and Rosa (Herrera) Lopez in San Antonio, Texas. Eloiza liked cooking and enjoyed making large meals for family and friends. She loved to travel up north to her cabin and to Puerto Rico where her and her husband, Carlos, would spend their winters. Eloiza had a wonderful personality, she was a practical jokester who was loved by everyone. Most of all Eloiza loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her sons, Carlos Jr., Jimmy Ray; sister, Luz Martinez and her father. Surviving are her husband, Carlos Colon; daughters, Luz (Francisco) Santiago, Maria Colon; grandchildren, Jose Archer, C.J. Colon, Jennie Santiago, Javie Santiago, Shaniece Colon, Ariana Colon, Marysa Colon; mother Rosa Lopez; sisters, Rose (John) Wikstrom, Rachel (Raul) Lopez, Olivia (Ingnacio) Bermudez; brothers, Albert (Rosie) Lopez, Ramiro (Esther) Lopez, Donald (Kathy) Lopez; brother-in-law, Juan Martinez as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2014 at First Assembly of God of Greater Lansing. Family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday at Skinner Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel.
