Frederick J. Duffrin Obituary (1938 - 2013)

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 3, 2013 at age 74. Born March 3, 1938 in Iron Mountain to Henry and Agnes (Stoppa) Duffrin of Stevenson. Fred graduated from Michigan State University. He worked as a tile setter and retired from the Eaton Rapids Public School System. Fred was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eaton Rapids. He loved woodworking, gardening and home improvement activities. Surviving are his wife, of 54 years, Karen (Sabin) Duffrin; children, Pam Duffrin of Eaton Rapids, Linda (Dennis) Archer of Mason, Jim Duffrin of Eaton Rapids, Richard Duffrin of Eaton Rapids, Jerad (Melissa) Duffrin of Hanover; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother, Bill (Ruth) Duffrin of Kiel, WI; sister, Patricia (Richard) Schrader of Manatawac, WI. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Eaton Rapids. Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
