Ilah Marion Adams Obituary (1916 - 2017)

Ilah Marion Adams Of Jackson, MI and formerly of Springport passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the age of 100. Ilah was born on June 14, 1916 the daughter of Charles and Rena (Benn) Ives in Jackson, MI. She attended Springport school and worked in housekeeping for Jackson Medical Care. Ilah was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, she enjoyed gardening, beading, crocheting, and crafts. Above all Ilah was a dedicated mother who raised her 8 children after the untimely passing of her husband. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Adams; son, Bruce "Chip" Adams; grandsons, Lenny Adams, Karl Schmidt Jr.; brother, Howard Ives and sister Katherine Berry. Surviving are her daughters, Alta Leightner, Betty Drinkwater, Ginger Adams, Helen (Karl) Schmidt, Linda (Richard) Cockroft; sons, Richard (Sarah Hogan) Adams, Lonnie Adams and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Skinner Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids Chapel with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. For those desiring memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
