James William Carroll
Age 52, of Eaton Rapids passed away suddenly on Monday, May 29, 2017. Jim is the beloved son of J.W. and Cathy Carroll of Vermontville. He was a graduate of Charlotte High School class of 1982 and went on to attend Lansing Community College where he earned certification in welding. Jim was an extraordinarily talented fabricator, the business owner of Advanced Welding and was employed by Barnes Aerospace for the past several years. He enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, boating, listening to music, gardening and cookouts with friends and family. James was a dedicated family man who cherished his time with his children and grandson. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor, always telling jokes or saying things to make people laugh out loud. Jim is preceded in death by his son, Jacob Carroll.
Jim is survived by his parents, son, Justin Carroll (Page Rushing); daughter, Jennifer Carroll; grandson, Timmy "T"; sisters, Annette (Terry) Frith, Becky (Ed) Bruce; brothers, Jeremy (Erin) Carroll, Joshua Carroll (Sharon Tweedie); special friend, Lisa Hoyt; dear and trusted friend for 38 years, Ken Wirt and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A memorial service will be held for Jim at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Skinner Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids.
