Jim Lee Thompson Obituary (1967

Jim L. Thompson Of Eaton Rapids, MI passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 7, 2016 at the age of 49. Jim was born on September 22, 1967 in Lansing, MI the son of Gary and Gail (Lippert) Thompson. He was a graduate of Waverly High School class of 1985. Jim was an accomplished and skilled millwright and currently worked for Midwest Press and Automation. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and would make annual trips to Sturgis for their motorcycle rally. Jim was a lover of animals and an active supporter of the humane society. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping, and working around the house. Jim's greatest joy in life was his family, he cherished the time he spent with his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Philip Plessner. Surviving Jim are his wife, Amy Thompson; parents, Gary and Gail Thompson; children, Taylor Thompson, Kira Reuther, Staci Reuther, Troy Reuther; grandchildren, Jayden Gardner, Liana Reuther, Landon Brown; brother, Ken (Dianne) Thompson; sisters, Shelly Wilson, Chris Steel and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Services will be held for Jim at 11:00 am on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Skinner Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids chapel. Visitation will be held Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
