Joy Wittnebel Obituary (1933 - 2023)

Joy Lee Wittnebel Born January 24, 1933 Entered Heaven June 8, 2023 Joy passed peacefully in her sleep after suffering for a very long time with several illnesses as well as several broken bones from falls. The Lord called her home. The suffering has ended and her new life has begun. May the Lord bless her as she enters heaven. She will be missed here but I know she is happy to be joining her family and friends. Joy was born January 24, 1933 to George and Carolyn Duncan. She was the first child. She had 2 younger sisters Patricia and Sandra. Joy married twice to Gerald Kinney and Henry Wittnebel. She gave birth to 7 children Gary, Pamela, Michael, Robert, Tina, Elizabeth and Brenda. Joy was always found with needles and thread/yarn expertly crafting an article of beauty. She was an expert in crocheting, knitting, sewing & needlework. She taught her daughter Pamela so her craft will live on for a short time longer. A master of the craft has gone to heaven to create beauty. Joy was an expert at drawing and could create beautiful art however her love was crocheting. She loved playing cards and would play any game you wanted for as long as you wanted. She loved doing her fill-it ins, kids Disney movies, ghost movies and reading. Unfortunately, she lost most of her eyesight 2 yrs ago and these things became a memory. Joy is preceded in death by her parents George & Carolyn, sisters Patricia & Sandra, son Robert, nephew David & grandchildren Cynthia, Jessica, Savanna & Noah. Joy is survived by her children Gary (Georgiann), Pamela (Henry), Michael (Deborah), Tina, Elizabeth (Dennis) and Brenda (Bryan). 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren. Interment will be on July 17th, 2023 at 1:00 PM. Family and friends will meet at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens located at 5401 N. Michigan (M-99) Dimondale MI 48821. We will meet after for a meal at Applebee's located at 6270 S. Cedar St. Lansing MI 48911
