Kathryn E. "Betty" Andrews Obituary (1919 - 2011)

Age 91 of Mason died Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at her residence at Green Acres Assisted Living of Mason. Born in Stockbridge on June 16, 1919 the daughter of Clinton and Clara (Durflinger) Henderson. Mrs. Andrews was a graduate of the Leslie High School she had worked as a Secretary for the Bell Telephone for over 35 years. She had lived in Parma from 1950- 1979, later spending 23 years in Traverse City until moving back to the area residing in Eaton Rapids and later in Mason. Mrs. Andrews enjoyed reading, needle point and flowers. Preceding her in death was her husband Gaylord Andrews in 2000; brothers, Ronald and Dwight Henderson; sisters, Mildred Henderson and Margarette Bunnell. Surviving are son, Charles (Laura) Andrews of Mason; daughter, Carol (Lowell) Bush of Sandy, Utah; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The family wishes to thank the care giver and special friend Joy Hill; staff at Green Acres and Heartland Hospice staff. Graveside services will be Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leslie with the Rev. Toby Teague, officiating.
