Lois Evelyn Halsey-Hobbins
Of Onondaga, MI passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at the age of 87. She was born on December 27, 1927 in Eaton Rapids, MI the daughter of Ora and Mary (Slentz) Jones. Lois was a graduate of Springport High School class of 1945. She was very active at the Eaton Rapids Wesleyan Church where she was a member for over 50 years. Preceding Lois in death are her husband, Harry Halsey; son, Lance Dale Halsey; 2nd husband, Louis Hobbins; brother, Jack Jones; and her parents.
Surviving are her daughter, Penny (Dave) Smith; step-children, Robert (Theresa) Hobbins, Danny (Paula) Hobbins, Janice (Don) David, Beverly (Don) Smith; grandson, Adam (Teresa) Smith; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Sage, Haley; great great grandchild, Sapphira; and numerous step-grandchildren, and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Eaton Rapids Wesleyan Church with burial to follow at Deepdale Memorial Park in Lansing. The family will receive friends at Skinner Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids Chapel on Wednesday from 6-8pm.
