Rev. Grant E. Schrauger of Lansing, Michigan, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on 3 March 2010. A WWII veteran and retired pastor of 30+ years, he faithfully served 4 churches, his last ministry at First Baptist of Eaton Rapids, Michigan. Born 26 March 1925 in Richmond, Virginia, Grant was married 56 years to his helpmate and friend, Lois. Grant is survived by wife, Lois; 3 sons: Brian (Debbie), Cliff (Vicki), and Larry (Su); 8 grandchildren: Kristina Valezquez (Jon), Christopher (Lorina), David (Kate), Stephen (fiance Jessica), Garrison, Lindsay, Carly (fiance Mike) and Jonathan; 2 great grandchildren: Aaron Schrauger and Nathan Valezquez; and one sister, Helen. He was greeted in Heaven by 3 grandsons: Taylor, Joshua, and Timothy; 2 brothers, Louie and Roy; and his mother, Carolyn. A Celebration of Life service will be held at South Baptist Church in Lansing, Michigan, Monday, 15 March 2010 at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Don Denyes officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts made out to South Baptist Church.
