Robert Gary Clone

Robert Gary Clone, Holt
Bob Clone conquered a year-long battle with cancer on Tuesday, November 29, 2016. He had a strong and loving support system fighting alongside him, his wife Marianne, daughter Stephanie, and son Benjamin.

Bob comes from the Eaton Rapids "Clone Dynasty" and is the son of Kenneth and Norine (Adams) Clone. He is the youngest Clone son and is preceded in death by his older brothers Gary (Marcia) and Wayne (Dianne) and survived by his brothers Mike (Cindy), Terry (Jill), Ron (Christine), Pat (Peg), Phil (Laurie), Al (Sue), and sister Shari (John) Polansky. He is also loved by his in-laws, Suzanne Stevens, Donald and Gloria Stevens, Cindy and J.D. Wilkins, and Barbara and Jim Hiss. He was a beloved uncle to 24 nieces and nephews and a great-uncle to 27 grandnieces and nephews.

He made lifelong friends when he attended Eastern Michigan University. He retired in 2010 from the State of Michigan Investment Bureau. Bob was quick to make friends and seemed to know everyone. He was a good friend to all, whether you knew him for a minute or a lifetime. Bob loved sports, especially Michigan State. He was an avid and loyal Spartan fan, always ready with a "Go Green!"

He started the Holt Jr. Rams baseball program and coached his son and many other children in baseball and basketball. He loved his kids and nothing made him prouder than seeing them go after their dreams. He will be missed for his 401(k) expertise, his perfectly fried bacon, his ability to MacGyver most anything, but mostly he will be missed for his immense love and compassion for his family and friends.
