Roger L. Hare Obituary (1921 - 2005)

Roger L. Hare Age 84, of Eaton Rapids, died Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at a Lansing hospital. Born April 21, 1921 in Eaton Rapids Townnship the son of Clarence and Joy (Barrett) Hare. Roger was a lifelong farmer that worked his family farm. He was retired with 23 years of service from the Eaton Stamping Co. in Eaton Rapids. A member of the Eaton Rapids Conservation Club and a driver for many years for Meals On Wheels. Preceeding him in death were his parents and a brother, Gerald. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Jackie; 4 children, Marilyn (David) Wilson of Eaton Rapids, Bud (Teresa) Hare of Eaton Rapids, Bill (Marta) Hare of Eaton Rapids and Sue (John) Connors of Charlotte; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; niece, Joy Thomas and nephew, Jay Hare. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 3, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. from the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids with burial following in the Rosehill Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. For those desiring memorial contributions may be made to the Genesis Hemo-Care Unit in memory of Roger Hare.
