Thomas Carl Gilmore Sr. Obituary (1939

Thomas Carl Gilmore Sr. Of Linden, TN and formerly of Lansing, MI passed away on Friday, April 28, 2016 at the age of 77. Thomas was born on February 6, 1939 in Grand Ledge, MI the son of Carl and Edith (Hayes) Gilmore. He was a graduate of Eastern High School class of 1958 and worked for General Motors where he retired in 1994. Thomas was an avid outdoors man; he made annual summer trips to Canada where he would hunt and fish. He had a passion for history and was a great source of knowledge for U.S. war facts. Thomas is preceded in death by his wife, Jane Gilmore; parents and brother, Gerald Gilmore. Surviving are his daughters, Vicki (Aaron) Dryer, Tina McCord; sons, Gary (Resa) Gilmore, Thomas Gilmore Jr.; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, sisters, Connie Brown, Jackie (Butch) Bullard; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at East Lawn Memory Gardens in Okemos.
