Tomasa Sanchez Cardenas Obituary (1924 - 2017)

Tomasa Sanchez Cardenas Of Eaton Rapids, MI passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017 at the age of 93. Tomasa was born on March 6, 1924 in Matamoros, Mexico the daughter of Tomas and Ramona (Soto) Sanchez. She moved to Eaton Rapids, MI in 1972 where she raised 13 children. Tomasa enjoyed gardening, playing bingo and making trips to the casino. Family and faith were very important parts of Tomasa's life. She is preceded in death by her children, Margarita Chantita, Tomas Cardenas, Jose Cardenas. Surviving are her children, Gloria (Robert) Gonzalez, Maria Garza, Luis (Candy) Cardenas, Jesus Cardenas, Silvia (Joe) Billalobos, Angelica (Francisco) Garza, Adela (Julian) Escalera, Tomasa (Walter) Brenycz, Sanjuana Cruz, Lazaro Cardenas, Samantha (Scott) Cardenas-Chambers; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and great great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Skinner Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids Chapel with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. For those desiring memorial contributions may be made to the family.
