Beatrice “Bea” Cook Obituary (1931 - 2011)

Beatrice "Bea" Cook Age 79, passed away, with her family present, on May 9, 2011. Bea was born in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, on July 2, 1931. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Michigan State University, and taught High School English and Social Science. She loved collecting antiques, playing cards and games, knitting, crocheting, and was an avid reader. She loved to laugh and love, and had a good sense of humor. She is preceded in death by her husband Fred, her parents Peter and Aurelia Kirchhofer; and two sisters Shirley (Oliver) Weiss; Nancy (Adam) Bailey. She is survived by her daughters Barbara (Thomas) Keen of Maple City, MI; Marilyn Collard of Holt, MI; and Lisa Martin of Grand Ledge, MI; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; several siblings; nieces, nephews; & special friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sat. May 14, 2011 at Chapel in the Pines Funeral Home in Lansing, MI with visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m . on Friday, May 13.
