Beatrice E. Menzer Obituary (1923 - 2010)

Of Eaton Rapids went home to be with our lord on June 30, at the age of 87. Born June 29, 1923 to Roy Wise and Ethel Beardsley. Raised by her grandparents James Stone and Elizabeth Butler in Mason, while living there she graduated from Ingham county public schools in May of 1939. While raising her three sons in Eaton Rapids she worked for Millers Ice Cream Factory and MSU Cafeteria. After retiring she enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and doing things through Eaton Rapids Senior Center, until going to the Dimondale Center in 2005. Surviving are her sons; Gerald and Eugene Gorton and Michael (Nancy) Menzer of Eaton Rapids, grandchildren; Brandy (Tim) Ureel of Charlotte, Jessica (Stephen) Barnum of Albion, David, Timothy, Michael, and Katie Lynn Menzer all of Eaton Rapids, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Bea is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, husband A. Willard Menzer, step sons Robert, Ross, Rex, and Louis, and step daughter Margaret. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 6 at 1:00 pm from the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids, with visitation starting at 11:00 am, graveside services will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Eaton Rapids.
