Darcie Kay Carpenter Obituary (1953 - 2021)

Darcie Kay Carpenter Of Eaton Rapids, MI passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the age of 68. Darcie was born on October 29, 1953 in Lansing, MI the daughter of Jack and Geraldine (Ridge) Christie. Darcie worked as a medical secretary for Dr. Messinger for many years before retiring in 2014. She enjoyed spending time with family, collecting jewelry and fairy figurines, visiting the Upper Peninsula, going to the casino, and loved animals. Darcie is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Geraldine (Ridge) Christie; nephews, Jonathan and Timmy. She is survived by her husband, Charles Carpenter; daughters, Christie Yansens and Kelly (Josh) Knapp; son, Kevin Yansens; grandchildren, Mikayla (MK) and J. Knapp; sisters, Vicki Strouse; Lorie (Michael) Perry; sister-in-law, Tina (George) Goodin; and several nieces and nephews. Darcie was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and will be deeply missed. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
