David Lee DeVries, Jr. Obituary (1971 - 2018)

David Lee DeVries, Jr. Age 47, of Eaton Rapids, MI and formerly of Lansing, MI passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 after a short battle with cancer. David was born on July 30, 1971 in Lansing, MI the son of David Devries Sr. and Sharon (Robinson) Koenig. He attended Lansing Schools and went on to work at Meijer in south Lansing. Most recently David worked for Meridian Magnesium in Eaton Rapids. He was a fun-loving individual with a spontaneous personality. David enjoyed traveling, attending car shows, camping trips and most recently was excited to participate in the Mackinaw Bridge walk. He always enjoyed history and loved attending civil war reenactments. David will always be remembered as a loving person who always put others first. He is preceded in death by his father, David DeVries, Sr. grandparents, Bernadine Robinson, George DeVries, Frances Devries; aunts, Jennette DeVries, Linda Wright, Jacqueline Fenby and uncle Gary Vermillion. Surviving are his mother, Sharon Koenig; sisters, Denise (James) Sanchez, Natisha DeVries; brothers, Jason DeVries, Justin DeVries; grandfather, George Robinson and girlfriend, Darcey Jamieson. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the First Congregational Church in Eaton Rapids.
