Gertrude Mary "GG" Rouse Obituary (1926 - 2012)

Went to be with The Lord on June 12, 2012 to share eternity with her husband Robert. Born May 11, 1926 to Jane "Jean" and Frederick Reinecke in Detroit, MI. She was affectionately known as GG by family and friends. Her passions in life were her family, church, activities, vocal & instrumental music and sewing. She is survived by her daughter, Jean (Dave) Grawburg; grandchildren, Brent (Carla) Grawburg, Brian (Jennifer) Grawburg, Rachel (Arren) Wetzel, Rebekah (Benjamin) Surdenik; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Rouse and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Christ United Methodist Church in Lansing. Family will receive friends Thursday at Chapel in the Pines Funeral Home from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to either Christ United Methodist Church or Heartland Hospice in Gertrude's name.
