Helen Magdalena Irrer Obituary (1928 - 2016)

Helen M. Irrer Lansing, MI Passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at age 88. Born August 11, 1928 to Edgar and Winnifred Walker in Clinton County, Michigan. Helen was a graduate of St. Johns High School class of 1945 and went on to attend Lansing Business College. She was an Avon representative for a number of years she then served as excutive secretary at Baryames Cleaners in Lansing for 25 year until retirement. Helen was active in girl scouting for many years. She was an avid gardener who also enjoyed baking and preparing family dinners. Most of all she loved being a mother and grandmother and cherished her time with her family. Preceding her in death were her husband of 65 years, Dennis Irrer; son, Bob Irrer; sister-in-law Marilyn Walker; brother-in-law, Paul Bleisner and her parents. Surviving are her daughters, Mary (Greg) Ellison, Barbara (Hampton) Hobson; son, Steve (Shelley) Irrer; grandchildren, Ryan Ellison, Renee McCann, Katie (Brian Davis) Hobson, Matt (Fe Behrens) Hobson, Scott Irrer, Sam Irrer; great grandchild, Kalobe Behrens; brother, Richard (Nazareth) Walker; sister, Priscilla Bleisner as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
