Iva Fay Fisher Obituary (1913 - 2011)

Our Loving mom, grandma, and great grandma began a new journey peacefully and surrounded by her family on January 31, 2011 at the age of 97. Fay was born February 28, 1913 in Springfield Twp, Michigan. Fay worked at Michigan State University, retiring April 1, 1979 after 17 years of service. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lansing since March 15, 1964. Mom devoted her life to caring for her family and loved ones, always putting herself last. She was always there for us. Mom is survived by daughter Beverley (Jerome) Bockes of Eaton Rapids, grandchildren Jill Bancroft, Neilsville, WI; Kurt Bockes, San Francisco, CA; Carrie Jelinek, Charlevoix, MI; Bryon (Amy) Bockes, Eaton Rapids; Ann Elizabeth Bancroft, Fremont, MI; and 10 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Lansing, MI on February 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeffrey S. O'Neill officiating.
