James Clifton "Jim" Swift Obituary (1929 - 2014)

Heaven is better place today, it has received another Angel. James C. Swift Leslie, MI Born August 5, 1929 passed away December 28, 2014 at age 85. Jim had been a Staff Sgt. in the US Air Force, a mail carrier, farmer, worked at Childs Farm Service before retiring as a truck driver from Hogan Trucking. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lila Swift; both parents; brother, Ivan Swift. Left behind to celebrate his life are daughter, Tamy Braman; granddaughter, Jamie Braman; great grandchildren, Hayden, Zaine, Brooklyn; sisters, Barb Rodocker, Elenore Russow, Treva Canfield, Ruth Johnson, Charlene McCallum; brother, Forrest Swift as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Skinner Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids Chapel with interment to follow to Woodlawn Cemetery in Leslie. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 p.m. - 7 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
