Passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the age of 76. Born September 15, 1946 to Claude and Clara (Avery) Pettit in Lansing, Michigan. Jean worked for Quality Dairy where she retired after 20 years. She enjoyed playing Yahtzee and taking trips to the casino. Most of all, she loved her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren who were her pride and joy. Jean was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend that will be dearly missed by all who remember her. Preceding her in death were her son, John "Mike" Moncada; brothers, Ronald Pettit, Wesley Pettit; sister, Rose Simpson as well as her parents.
Surviving are her children, Jackie (Dwayne) Salazar, Jeff (Wendy) Moncada, Julie Glassbrook, Joe Moncada, James Moncada, Juanita Patrick; grandchildren, Alexa, Ashley, Tony, Heather, Michael, Mariah, Marie, Katie, Shawn, Victoria, Armand, Marcos, Kevin, Kenny; many great grandchildren; sister, Nancy Holdorf as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Skinner Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service for visitation.
