Laurellei Lou Parsons Obituary (1933 - 2022)

Laurellei Lou ("Liz") Parsons, 88, of Mason, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022, in Lansing. Liz was born in Clare County, Michigan, on September 7, 1933, to George Haring and Ethel (Crawford) Haring. Surviving is her long-time and very good friend Nancy Dean. Also surviving are daughter Kathy Parsons of Portland, MI; son Roger (Retta) Parsons of Wesley Chapel, FL; granddaughter Laura Parsons of Gwinn, MI; grandsons Matthew Parsons of Chicago, IL, and Andrew (Madeline) Parsons of Arvada, CO; and one great-granddaughter Marla Vaughn Parsons. Liz was retired from the State of Michigan. She wintered in Dade City, Florida, for many years with Nancy enjoying friends, golf, and community. Liz also enjoyed fishing, camping, other outdoor activities, as well as "tinkering" in her workshop on various projects. No formal funeral service will be held; however, a small graveside gathering will be done. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
