Lena Ione Hillock Obituary (1929 - 2017)

Lena Ione Hillock Of Lansing, MI passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the age of 88. Lena was born on January 2, 1929 one of twelve children born to Charles and Maud (Stillwagon) Durfee. She was raised in Gladwin, MI before moving to Lansing where she attending Eastern High School. Lena was active in the community volunteering at local charities including the Salvation Army. She enjoyed gardening, reading and worked part time as a housekeeper. Lena was above all a devoted mother and grandmother who dedicated her time raising her six children. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Hillock and daughter-in-law, Louise Skinner. Surviving are her sons, Tom Skinner, Jerry Skinner, Robert Skinner, Ron (Paula) Skinner, Terry Skinner, Jack Skinner; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
