LeRoy P. "Roy" Norris Charlotte, MI Age 90 Passed away Friday, March 21, 2014 at Moore's Adult Foster Care Home in Charlotte. Born June 6, 1923 to Ivan and Mary (Purcell) Norris in Holt, Michigan. Roy honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Throughout his life he was a farmer, a milk delivery man, employee of Motor Wheel, employee for Lowe Brother & Dads in Charlotte and worked for Builder's Redi Mix of Lansing where he later retired in 1988. Preceding him in death were his wife of 50 years, Betty Jane (Mong); his parents; 6 brothers, Daniel, David, John, Leo, Donald, and Duane; 2 sisters, June Ellen Norris and Oma Hollinworth; granddaughter Patricia Anne Norris; great granddaughter Mariah Lynn Jordan and Special Friend Helen McCrumb. Surviving are his three children, George (Susan) Norris of Jackson, David (Ronda) Norris of Stanton, Lynda (Gary Mandel) Norris of Charlotte; and special nephew, Jerry (Maxine) Green of Charlotte; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ivan "Ike"(Jan) of Onondaga, Ronald of Stanton; sister Lucy Green of Gladwin; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Skinner Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home.
