Lynwood "Lyn" Marier Obituary (1935 - 2009)

Passed away October 20, 2009 at age 73. Born November 11, 1935 in Lansing to Hugo and Margaret Marier. Lyn served honorably in the United States Army from November 10, 1958 to November 1, 1960. He retired from General Motors where he worked at plant 3 for 41 years. He coached The Generals youth football team for 22 years. Lyn was a loving husband, father, and grandfather that will be missed dearly by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Beardslee) Marier; Children, Lynwood Scott (Lisa) Marier, Sharon Colleen Marier, Phillip Eugene Marier; Grandchildren, Zachary Marier, Mitchell Marier, Allison Marier, Ryan Rubelman, Michael Grinnell; Brother, Richard (Barbara) Marier; Sister, Marlene Barker. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 11:00am at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 24th from 4-6pm at Chapel in the Pines Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society or The American Heart Association.
