Maurice "Moe" J. McKessy Obituary (1918 - 2005)

Age 86 of Onondaga, died Monday, May 30, 2005 in a Lansing hospital. Maurice was born December 1, 1918 to John and Myrtle McKessy. He retired in 1983 with 22 years of service as a Machinist with Aeroquip in Jackson. He was a longtime member of the Onondaga Sportsmans Club and a member of the Leslie American Legion. Preceding him in death were 4 sisters, Margaret Swan, Maxine Mentink, Marleen Buck and Mona Bayes; brother, Marvin McKessy, grandson, Aaron Green. Surviving are a brother, Maynard (Sylvia) McKessy; sister Myrna (Arthur) Anderson; son, Roger McKessy of Spring Lake; 3 daughters, Sharla (Dick) Hilliard of Onondaga, Barbara McKessy of Lansing and JoAnn (Rueban) Green of Eaton Rapids; 8 grandchildren, Tim (Barb) McKessy, Bill McKessy, Kandi (Steve) Barton, Kim (Brian) Willcutt, Jim Hilliard, Larry Merindorf, Rick Merindorf, Troy (Sandy) Green; 14 great grandchildren, several nieces nephews and friends. A Remembrance Gathering will be Sunday June 12 from 1:00 to 4:00pm including a luncheon at the Onondaga Sportsmans Club to honor the Memoray of Maurice McKessy.
