Maynard "Doc" Duane Hastay Obituary (1930 - 2017)

Of Eaton Rapids, MI passed away on St. Patrick's Day, Friday, March 17, 2017 at Eaton Rapids Medical Center with the comfort and love of the wonderful nursing staff. Doc was very grateful for our local hospital. He was born on January 10, 1930 in Highland Park, MI. Doc graduated from Michigan State College with a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture. He lived and worked in Eaton Rapids for 62 years. Doc's love of flowers was shared with the community through his greenhouse and flower shop. He felt that flowers were for the living and should be enjoyed by all. To honor Doc and his memory please keep the community beautiful with flowers. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
