Missy Melyn Carpenter Obituary (1980 - 2018)

Missy M. Carpenter Age 38, of Lansing and formerly of Eaton Rapids passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at her residence. Missy was born January 11, 1980 in Elkhart, Indiana, the daughter of Al and Genny Blanchard. Missy, who went by Mim to her family and friends, was a loving mother and grandmother, to her daughter Machaela and her granddaughter Milah! Those two girls were her whole world; she would light up whenever they were around! Mim was a people person. She never met a stranger, Mim would treat you like she had known you her whole life, and would have given the shirt off her back if needed! She always wore her heart on her sleeve. Mim was also a big animal lover, especially to her three cats, (Cuddles, Buster, and Greta) and her dog (Lela), those were her babies as well!! Mim had a laugh that was so contagious; she would make you laugh just by hearing her laugh. It was amazingly beautiful. Mim was very family oriented; she loved her family, like no other. She enjoyed having fun with her niece and nephews. She would play and hangout like she was one of the kids, and has always taken care of them like they were her own. Mim, was one in a million, you will never meet someone, so unselfish, yet giving, loving, and most importantly thankful, in this world. She had a heart of gold and will be missed by everyone that knew and loved her. No matter who you are if you knew Mim, then she touched your life in a way that, will be with you forever!!!!! Surviving is her daughter, Machaela M. Blanchard of Potterville; granddaughter, Milah Aquirre Blanchard; parents, Al and Genny Blanchard of Onondaga; 2 sisters, Trina Brown of Ada, MI. and Mandie (Darrin) Smith of Duck Lake; brother, Dustin (Laisa) Blanchard of Onondaga; boyfriend, Joe Barbar of Lansing; several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, March 10th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm with a time for sharing at 3:00 p.m. at the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids. Mim, you will forever be missed and loved, more than you will ever know. You will never be forgotten, we love you with all our hearts!
