Pedro Garcia Obituary (1947 - 2022)

Pedro Garcia Of Lansing, MI passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at the age of 75. Pedro was born on October 22, 1947, in Falfurrias, TX the son of Exiquio and Hortencia (DeLeon) Garcia. He was raised in South Texas before moving to Eaton Rapids, MI in the mid 1960's where he met his first wife, Marlene Pringle whom were married in 1968. Pedro and Marlene had three sons, Joe, Felix and Tony. Pedro remarried after Marlene's passing, to Sharon Casler in 1982. He worked for the Lansing School district as a custodian and retired in 2012. Pedro was extremely handy and could fix almost anything. Pedro had a passion for reading and learning new things and was a self-taught stained-glass maker. He also enjoyed camping, gardening, barbecuing with his family, sports and he especially like to follow Mexican boxers. Pedro enjoyed retirement in Oran, Missouri until his health problems brought him back to Michigan. He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Marlene; siblings, Elijio Garcia, Isabell Garcia, Lydia Garcia, Inez Garcia; stepson, Jon Ramsey and Sister-in-law, Peggy Garcia. Surviving is his wife of 40 years, Sharon Garcia; sons, Jose (Jessica) Garcia, Felix (Heather) Garcia, Antonio Garcia; stepchildren, Renee Ramsey, Mike (Michelle) Ramsey; grandchildren, Alex (Hannah) Garcia, Megan Garcia, Joshua (Ami) Garcia, Jacob Garcia, Justen Garcia, Jessica Garcia, Zachary (Abbey) Ramsey, Jonathan (Bobbie) Ramsey, Christian (Maria) Ramsey, Claire Ramsey, Madison Ramsey, Roquel Burtley; 17 great grandchildren; brothers, Mario Garcia, Exiquio Garcia, Jr., George Garcia; sisters, Demetria (Steve) Newgard, Juanita (Mitch) Surman and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Rosehill Cemetery in Eaton Rapids.
