Ron Wicker Obituary (1939 - 2022)

Roland A. "Ron" Wicker Holt Passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the age of 82. Born December 27, 1939 to Fred and Hope (Berner) Wicker in Lansing, Michigan. Ron attended Lansing Eastern High School. On November 12, 1960 he married the love of his life, Carol Stiles. Ron worked for Lindell Drop Forge before going to work as a carpenter. As a carpenter he worked all over the United States retiring from the Carpenters Union. Those who knew and loved Ron are left to cherish the memory of his quick wit and his ability to befriend anyone with ease. He truly was a friend to all and he will be dearly missed by all who remember him. Preceding him in death was his brother, Don (Charlotte) Wicker as well as his parents. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Carol Wicker; children, Cathy (Brian) Rauchholz, Steve Wicker, Chad (Debra) Wicker; grandchildren, Alex Wicker, Justin (Stephanie) Wicker, John (Harlei) Rauchholz, Zack (Courtney) Rauchholz, Lucas Wicker; great grandchildren, Grace Wicker, Skylar Rauchholz, Koree Rauchholz; brother, Bob Wicker; sister, Jean (Dave) Clark; sister-in-law, Sandy Wicker; sister-in-law Pat Thompson; brother-in-law Duane (Tippy) Stiles; two aunts, as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church, 600 S. Main St. Eaton Rapids, MI 48827.
