Max Skinner Founder & Funeral Director

Larry Skinner Funeral Director

Larry was born and raised in Eaton Rapids, Michigan and graduate from Eaton Rapids High School class of 1972. Larry received his Associates Degree in Science from Lansing Community College before graduating from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in March of 1980 receiving the Embalmers award and highest honors in the area of restorative art. Upon graduating Larry went to work with his father, Max Skinner and later purchased the business with his wife, Jill in 1983. Larry and Jill have 3 children; Nathan, Jonathan, and Sarah that are each 15 months apart in age. Larry faithfully attends the First Baptist Church of Eaton Rapids. He is the Past Worshipful Master of the Mason Lodge #63, Past President of the Eaton Rapids Kiwanis Club, participates in several local charitable events as well as volunteers for Meals on Wheels. Larry is a motorcycle and classic car enthusiast who, in his spare time, enjoys golfing and fishing. Most of all, Larry loves spending time with his grandchildren.

Jill Skinner Licensed Pre-Planning Funeral Consultant

Jill was born and raised in Eaton Rapids, Michigan and graduated from Eaton Rapids High School class of 1975. For 25 years her and mother, Jean Kline, owned and operated Corner Collections located in Marshall and Eaton Rapids. In 1983 Jill and her husband Larry purchased the original funeral home from Connie and Max Skinner. Jill and Larry have 3 children; Nathan, Jonathan, and Sarah that are each 15 months apart in age. Jill faithfully attends the First Baptist Church of Eaton Rapids. She is on the board of directors of the Eaton Rapids Chamber of Commerce, the executive board of the Eaton Rapids Area Historical Society, Past Director and active volunteer for the Eaton Rapids Senior Center, participates in several local charitable events as well as volunteers for Meals on Wheels. In her spare time, Jill enjoys golfing, rooting on her beloved Detroit Tigers and most of all spoiling her grandchildren.

Jonathan Skinner Owner, Manager & Director

Jonathan was born and raised in Eaton Rapids, Michigan and graduated from Eaton Rapids High School class of 2002. Jonathan attended Central Michigan University before graduating from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in March of 2007. Jon is married to Ashely (Baker) Skinner. They have two sons, Charlie and Bradley, and one daughter, Lyla. Jon and his family faithfully attend Saint Peter Catholic Church in Eaton Rapids. Jon is a member of the Eaton Rapids Rotary Club, the Eaton Rapids Development Corporation, and is an active volunteer for many local charitable and community events. He enjoys golfing, playing tennis, working on his yard, and spending time with his family. Jon is a big Spartan fan and enjoys going to the MSU basketball and football games.

Nathan was born and raised in Eaton Rapids, Michigan and graduated from Eaton Rapids High School class of 2000. Nathan received his BSBA in Marketing & Advertising from Central Michigan University before graduating from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in March of 2007. Nathan is married to Holly (Kempton) Skinner. They have two sons, Max and Bently, and two daughters, Vada and Violet. Nathan and his family faithfully attend South Church in Lansing. Nathan is a Past President of the Eaton Rapids Rotary Club, A board member of the Eaton Rapids Medical Center, A member of the Eaton Rapids Medical Center Foundation Board, A Past District President of the Michigan Funeral Directors Associaton, A member of the Eaton Rapids Development Corporation, and a volunteer for many local charitable events. Nathan enjoys golfing, traveling, and playing with his kids. Nathan is an MSU enthusiast and enjoys attending MSU football and basketball games.

Tim Cook Director

Tim was born and raised in Holt, Michigan and graduated from Holt High School class of 1970. He received his Associates Degree in Science from Lansing Community College before graduating from Wayne State University in 1978. Tim has been a licensed director for over 35 years; he is a master of his craft and enjoys learning new methods and techniques in the ever-changing funeral industry. Tim married his high school sweetheart Teri (Wagner) Cook and together they have two children, Ryan and Katie. Tim enjoys playing racquetball and tennis, doing yard work and spending time with his family.

Tim was born and raised in Eaton Rapids, Michigan and graduated from Eaton Rapids High School class of 1967. He retired from the Post Office where he worked 35 years primarily as a mail carrier. Tim is married to Patti Oliver and together they attend St. Peter Catholic Church in Eaton Rapids. Tim is a member of the Knights of Columbus in Eaton Rapids, he volunteers much of his time at the church including his work with St. Vincent De Paul. In his spare time he enjoys woodworking, camping, gardening, yard work and spending time with his grandkids.

Chris was born in Edmore, Michigan and graduated from Merrill High School class of 1974. He retired from General Motors with 30 years of employment. Chris resides in Eaton Rapids with his wife, Sharon Bigelow. Chris enjoys hunting, fishing, and golfing, spending time with his family and traveling with his wife.
